713,

My salesman should be calling to finalize my order soon...as the production date is near.

When I placed my order back in April, they did not have pricing yet. However, he did say that changes were minimal to the '04 and did not expect much of a price change (if any). You may be able to get them to price you one out..they should have pricing now. I know the names of the packages changed. They are no longer called K3, K4 etc..

I placed my order at MB of North Houston..off of I45 and 1960..
Their sister dealership is MB of Houston Greenway by the Compaq Center.

If you are looking for something now, MB of Greenway has:

2 (used) Silver /Charcoal CLK500's - 1 has 615miles
1 Silver/ Charcoal CLK55 (new).
1 Pewter/Charcoal CLK55 (new)
1 Firemist Red/Charcoal CLK500 (new)
1 Ice Blue/Pacific Blue CLK500 (new)

The last time I was at MB of Houston North they had:

1 Silver/Stone CLK500 (new)
1 Alabaster White/Charcoal w/Appearance package (new)

I was told differing dates for a wait list by both dealerships.
You really need to get the salesman to check the books to see when the next avail. slot is...out of luck, I slid into a June production slot..otherwise I would have had to wait on a 6-8 months list (according to them). Personally, I have seen very few of these cars on the roads in Houston. I live inside the loop, and I see more SL500's and SL55's than CLK's.

Hope this helps,

PP

What I did was I priced mine under the '03 model I saw at MB Houston North. It was pretty close to what I wanted. It was priced at 64k total ttl, tax, and everything...furthermore, they were willing to wave the taxes..if I leased the car. I chose to wait and get an '04. I didn't want a lease. The stock market is paying for this one.
