New Owner, New Forum Member
Hi all,
Somewhat surprisingly I am now the new owner of a 05 CLK 320. We were looking at BMW 6 and 3 series and even Z4s, when we spied an ad for a pristine CLK.
Carfaxed, visited, drove, and bought. And what a great car it is, and this looks like a great forum. Plenty to read up about.
Initial needs - a second keyfob and some sort of ipod adaptor. I have scanned the threads and it seems the answer to the first is $250, but I have options for the second. More reading required.
Anything about the car I should check? Notorious trouble spots?

Welcome to the board. There are lots of good exhaust threads out there to read, I just posted one a short time ago as well.

Congrats!
If you need a new keyfob the ONLY place to get it is @ your local stealership. Don't bother with ebay keyfobs they are absolutely useless unless you're in need of just the casing

I only got my CLK at the weekend, so I don't think it was me
But I would be interested in knowing the other guy.
As requested, here are the pics. Not great admittedly, as they were taken at dusk. Plain Jane CLK. Probably should have mentioned it is a conv.

I'm new to CLKs so I need to educate myself on the various options. For the time being, I'm happy with both, but I see some threads on LED tails........

You might want to start your own thread asking about that. Keep in min that all that info can be found by using the search.
Coilovers are $1500 and up and springs are substantially less. You might want to take a look at the wheel fitment sticky which lists people's setups.
No real info on Borla/Magnaflow tips. Most people go with AMG tips. Do a search for "quad" and you should get a bunch of exhaust threads.
