Hi All,
Last week I bought a 2003 CLK 320 Avantgarde Coupe in Silver. Really impressed with the car and so far (touch wood x 10) there have been no problems
.
It has done 69,000 miles and has a full Mercedes history so I'm not too worried, but if anyone could give me any pointers on what to look out for in the near future, that would be great.
I was intending to keep this car completely standard, however I have a little bit of experience in playing with audio/electrics so after coming across this article: http://www.mwstewart.co.uk/articles/...celiftconsole/, I decided it was a good idea to "facelift" the centre console.
I managed to source the parts but however there has been a slight hitch! My car has BOSE and after some research, this means that the relatively simple job of rewiring the audio connectors turns into a small nightmare of changing the amp, possibly speakers and running cables from the boot etc. Even a Parrot install is a complete pain!
I've decided instead of risking ruining my new car and spending £££s to get it all fitted, I've put the whole lot back on eBay. So if you're looking for the parts to "facelift" your centre console, feel free to have a look at my listings http://shop.ebay.co.uk/livbasey/m.ht...id=p4340.l2562 - incidently they're due to end shortly after I post this but some bits probably wont sell so get in touch if you are after these parts.
Parts I currently have and that you need to complete the upgrade:
Upper control unit (hazard, door lock buttons)
Audio 20 CD headunit
Lower climate control unit
Plastic cage/housing
All the best,
Jason
