not a209 but I think you can get a good idea of what it would look like. my local shop did this E55... looks pretty good, but I think they needed to do the rails

Wouldnt a polish get rid of most of your scratches??

I wanted to repaint the entire car because of the million swirls & scratches but I was told that a polish would make my car look like new. Add to that a good eye can tell whether a car has been repainted or not. I'm just waiting on the clay to get here and I'll be getting started.

yeah the car will look like new. but keep in mind, with an abrasive polish, you will be taking a layer of clear off.

as for the hood, are the deep scratches below the clear, as if someone keyed your hood?

yeah they are deep scratches. i polish the car about 2 to 3 times a year, which does get rid of swirls and light scratches...

If you like the look go for it. I have seen cars where it looks good and others where it looks terrible.

if you do decide to do it, go for 3M Scotchprint 1080, not 3M Di-Noc. The 1080 has a glossy appearance more like real CF. I did my interior trim in it:

I dont like any types of vynils at all. It just looks cheap to me. You can always tell that it is a vynil, not paint.

By chance I bought one of those ebay 3m stick-on cf kits and it was terrible..... gaps, and it was obvious it was a simulated stick-on cf kit.

Only options in my book are 1) real cf trim $$$$, or 2) wrap.
