CLK63 Front Bumper Estimate

I figured I would post this estimate on a CLK 63 front bumper. This does not include the front bumper itself, an OEM bumper from the Benz dealership is around $1500.00. They used my VIN to maek this quote on my car.

This quote seems a tad high to me but then again I don't know this industry to well. Also after reading other threads looks like this estimate has allot added parts I think can be reused from my current bumper.

Feel free to ad these parts to the sticky parts thread if they are not listed.

Louie

Reading that gave me a headache. It definitely lists a few more parts than needed. You can save yourself money and get the parts through parts.com.

There's more parts in that pdf than necessary. The only parts I needed when I was adding the face-lifted amg package was, fogs, grilles, bumper frame. But since the 63 bumper frame is the same as your current you only need, side fog grilles and MAYBE center grille. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This is from a local body shop not the dealership. I kinda figure the parts seem high. I am at work and i don't have the email he sent explaining a few things, I will post it when I get home maybe it will clarify a few things.

One reason I posted it seem like alot people asked what it take to get this done.

lol, the parts needed varies depending on the model (pre/post facelift-AMG/Non-AMG).

Dynomite,

The parts came out about to 480.00 with parts.com Compared to 673.50 on the estimate.

Also thats not listed on the estimate was 1500.00 at the dealer for the bumper was 912.00 with parts.com thats a huge savings right there. Pays for the labor in savings alone.

I dont think 732.00 in labor is too bad really.

Thanks for your help, Btw how's the headache?
I just realized I don't have any pics of my car will bring my Cam to the beach today and post some up later today.

Peace
Louie D

For about $2,000 that would make a really nice improvement on the car that would inspire other cars to get out of your way on the freeway as you are bearing down on them...
