Hi audio heads
Does the fact that clk 2007 + beyond have fiber optic cable limit which head units we can put in??
I was told by my installer that i would have to buy ANOTHER amp in addition to my sub amp to run the new head unit off of instead of plugging into the mercedes OEM amp
....

i think this statement is true.
if you are going to run an aftermarket speakers, you should run a new amp. if you are gonna go aftermarkt, you might as well wire everything up to begin with.
im not sure about stock speakers tho. should be the same story unless you plan to run the speakers from the hu however i dont know if you can even do that with stock speakers.
message mbworld member "jbondox". he works in the audio division. he might be able to point you out in the right direction.
