2008 CLK350 Convertible
Need Navigation System.
Hi Guys,
I just got a 2008 CLK350 convertible with 28k miles. I did not have Mercedes Command/Navigation system.
I want to install it. From what i hear it cannot be installed later if not ordered during the original purchase of the vehicle(in 2008).
Is this true??If not how much will it cost me to install Merc Navigation??
My first choice is Merc Navigation/Command if at all it is not possible to install in, is putting an aftermarket navigation a good option ?
Does it hamper factory warranty by any chance ??

Pls let me know. Any advice would be helpful.

From what I have read these people are good about helping you DIY and save some money. If you live around ATL I think they are based here.

So what i understand from this is, we can add COMAND system anytime even though the car never had it at the original time of purchase. Sweet.
I am thinking of going for the COMAND PRO. Hope it works out well.

Same as what? If you mean the orignal MB unit, then no. This is a unit made in China if I am not mistaken.
