Can't decided again........

Just like the last time when i bought mine post-2006 Clk500 cab. over the pre-2003 clk55 Cab. I decided on the clk500 cab. because of the update AMG bumper. now I'm looking for the slk55 and i like the post-2008 slk55 alot because of the updated AMG bumper but the 6/4 pots brake is an option now on the post-2008 models and it used to be standard option on the 2005-2007 models. I'm think just getting the 2005-2007 models because of the 6/4 pots and just upgrade the bumper cause it cheaper then the 6/4 pots upgrade. What do you guys think?

I never knew there was a difference in the bumper. I thought just the hood vents were updated. Have you looked into doing the bumper conversion already?

nevermind I just saw the difference and I think the 08+ bumper is barely any different. I would just leave the bumper as is

Yeah......just like the Clk, barely noticeable different but enough too me like day and night. I already look into update the bumper and found alot on ebay for around $450-$600, not bad.

It cheap just like any used AMG bumper but then there's no grilles, foglights covers, sident vents and painted probably around $2000. I just hope it does not need bumper absorbers foams...etc.

A front bumper cover is a hell of a lot cheaper than a 6/4 brake conversion! Are you buying this for yourself? CL to CLK to SLK... are you losing weight or something?

Yes, it would be mine special toy. For some reason, this is the car I really wanted 4 years ago. The last times I went out to do a test drive and came home with a CL55. Then again two years ago and came home with Clk500 Cab. This time, I'm 100% sure to get an Slk55. I'm not in rush until I found a good one. There's a black one in the Mbworld classified with only 8K miles and local but asking $35K. I offered $30K.

Well, if that's what you want then good luck finding the right one to suit you. I had a lot of friends hack on me for buying a CLK and not an SL or a Vantage but it's what I wanted to use as a last project car, get the mod bug out of the system before growing up

On the SLK topic, I was at the MB dealer today and they had a brand new black one sitting outside, beautiful design but the same old weakass rear, it could have really benefited from some squared angles.

That's funny........I love the rear but hated the F1 nose. I used think the Slk is the ugliest Mercedes car specially the non-AMG body kit. The Slk55 look much better but I'm still not a fan of the F1 nose. The car grown on me over the years though.

I lose track of the look of specific model years but the SLK55 has such an nice balance for driving fast. That chassis could be fun with even more horsepower.

I'd definitely go with the bigger brakes.
Have drove a few and they are fun little roadsters with plenty of power.
