Ipod adapter for 2004 CLK320

I just bought 2004 CLK320, and I want to hook up my ipod to the OEM stereo, and I was wondering is "Factory Mercedes Ipod adapter B6 782 42 52" will work with my stereo?

Here is picture of my stereo

NO LONGER ACTIVE
No, the MBZ iPod interface only works on MOST bus cars (MY2005+). Your MY2004 uses D2B. Your options are to either replace the radio with an aftermarket unit or to buy an aftermarket D2B-compatible iPod interface. Dension makes one for your car. It replaces the CD changer. There is no text capability, but you can pick from the first 6 (I think) playlists and change tracks via the radio and steering wheel controls. My advice would be to look into an aftermarket radio with iPod, Bluetooth, NAV and maybe satellite radio options. I installed an Pioneer AVIC in the kid's C240 and it does all of that. It's not the greatest stereo, but it wasn't terribly expensive and it's easy to operate. If you have the Bose sound system, it does complicate the replacement of the radio as it's amp and speakers are no compatible with anything and will need to be replaced.

I prefer to keep original radio.
What will be your suggestion on Ipod Interface? What should I buy? What will work best with my radio?
Thanks.

If you want to keep the same radio, the only adapter you can use is the old tape for CD adapter. Insert it into the tape deck and plug it into your iPod.

Not true, you can use the iPod Gateway - available on our site. Full digital audio and no tape adapter.

Our site is dynamic, which means that if you select your year and class car, it will show you exactly what is available (and won't show you things that won't work for your car)
