CLK550 Winter
I have just purchased a 2008 CLK550, white with black interior coupe from a friend for a very reasonable price. The only issue is winter is coming up and for some part of this I will be needing to use this car in the winter. I live in Canada, in Saskatchewan where we usually get a pretty nice amount of snowfall and cold weather.
I'm looking to buy some winter rims and tires, and I was just curious if anyone had any suggestions or experinces with these cars in the winter and with tire/rim choices. As well, I'm curious of the types of rims I could use, and/or if there would be any issue with the calipers rubbing on the rim or just not fitting in general.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Ps; I love the car, and everything is brings!
My 2004 CLK320 came with 16-inch MB wheels. I use these wheels in winter only and bought 17-inch AMG for summer.
I used to use Pirelli 210 for winter tires and they were not too good. Last year I switched to Toyo Garit KX and these were amazing good.
