DTM Widebody Kit - Please vote
Hi, I am currently thinking whether or not that I should pursue the new CLK as my next project. The reason why I am hesistant is because the Mercedes Benz owners are not wild and mostly not into touring races like the BMW folks. This bodykit is strictly not for everyone. So here goes the details.
Pricing: $15,000 (installed, includes free pickup and delivery, no paint)
Materials: $15,000 is the basic vacuum formed fiberglass 7781 Hexcel fabric (No Matts). I can use any material you want.
Info: Only 50 of these kits will be released worldwide. With 1/2 of them going to Asia. The kit will have the same OEM fit and finish of the original car. The kit will allow you to go 3" wider on the front and rears. It will include front fascia, front fender, side skirt, rear fender cover, rear bumper, hood, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser. I know the CLK is fine the way it is, but for those selected individuals that like widebody racing cars, this might be an opportunity.
Please ask me questions through this forum so everyone can see, and avoid asking the same questions twice. Thanks!!

W0n6_3d4n: There shouldn't be able to have knockoffs, I have worked hard to prevent that from happening. Making a kit like this would take me about 9 months of working on it everyday. It is very hard work to get things perfect. What I do is make replica race cars, into daily drivable cars. Here are more of the picture of the CLK DTM. You can see more pics of these type of Euro racers at www.dtm.de. The real CLK is about 5~6" wider in the front and back, but that would be too wide for the street use, so therefore I'm only going 3" maximum (maybe even 2.5" or less). Here is one more pic of the race car.
