New wheels again.

Hadn't been on the forum in a while. I put the sonictunning's group buy wheels on my car. Here's a pic, thought it was a good deal for $600. As you can see in my sig I had the C63 style wheels before.

I really like that wheel but I am surprised that it doesn't look as aggressive as I thought it would on the CLK. Anyways, sounds like you got a hell of a deal on them and if you're happy, that's great.

Thanks all! They are 18 X 8.5 and 18x 9.5. I wish they had the ///AMG markings.

No spacers, what offset are your wheels? Mine cleared the bigger 500 brakes with no issue (although it is very close).

The fronts were 32mm offset they didn't clear... Sonictuning had another clk with 19" not clearing the caliper also

You sure it's not clearing the front calipers? The rear needs shorter bolts so that they don't hit the e brake... I don't know, mine are 32mm and cleared fine. I can't imagine that the rim diameter has anything to do with it.

Very strange... Bad puts his on with no spacers and they clear the front OEM caliper yet G puts the same wheel from the same retailer on WITH a 5mm spacer on the front and has less than 2mm clearance?

Bad, yours were labled as ET32's right? My ET35's didnt come anywhere close to clearing my OEM caliper, in fact, they JUST clear with a 10mm - thats makes the wheel a ET25...

I'm going to take one of my fronts off tomorrow and measure out the backspace to find out what exactly the ET is.

My boxes said 32mm, I don't think the wheel had it stamped on there though.

I'll bet the 18's are a proper ET32 and the 19's are ET35 or higher. Thats the only way I can see the differing scenarios.

Mine are damn close to the caliper, my C63 wheels were too. I bet you could not stick 10 pieces of paper between the wheel and caliper.

OEM specs are a minimum of 3mm clearance (as per MB tech), my original AMG wheels (19's like what Sonic offers as their 181's) cleared the front caliper by probably 5mm IIRC, they were ET30.

Mine are 35mm and clear the 6 pot calipers without spacers
