Coilovers for clk350 on 500

i have been doing research since last night with no luck to find an answer.(such short notice because a deal popped up) on some Ksport coilovers that are said to fit a clk350 but not listed for a clk500. would these fit my 500 and if so what issues may arrise from installing them?

thank you

i did some research on suspension set ups way back when.

i dont know if you want to install ksports on your car. i heard problems with leaking issues. so save up for some quality c/os since you will be using them every time you drive your car.

thanks for the heads up, is it leaking on all applications or only for the assumably heavier 500? i usually drive my civic around (which i am about to get some ksports for too) or my rx300 crossover. i only take my car out on the weekends or for a nice drive.

i want to try these out though if they will work at all, i was planning on giving them to my nephew which i gave my c240 to if i do not like them.

thank you for the input too

The spring rates will be different (on a properly desifgned system) for the 500 than they are for the 350 to not only deal with the different weights of the engines but also for the torque transfered to the rear wheels.

A company called D2 makes a fully adjustable coil-over system with dampning adjustment for the 500. I looked at a set here in Dubai at a shop that distributes for them, they looked decent enough but I had already decided to go with H&R and Koni.

dont get me wrong, you can try them out. haha maybe they are worth it afterall. you will never know. and since most of us havent tried this option, it wouldnt hurt being the first.

good luck with your choice.

@kev thanks i will look into that, so far people are saying it is the same manufacturing facility for bot, but a different company and maybe the D2's are more model specific.. they are around the same price too.

@bheng i will test them out and let everyone know, either you will see a post saying i am happy with my choice or one that says my car is not moving aymore
