Best snow tires for CLK 500?
Have to drive the CLK 500 convertible this winter in Boston ... it needs snows, of course.
I've had Dunlop WinterSports on a Porsche 911 and it went well. Wondering about Blizzaks and the Michelin Alpins as an alternative.
The car has the staggered AMG 17" rims on it; I'm hearing conflicting advice on whether to put 225s on both the front and the rear for better traction, or just get the correct 245 for the rears.
Does anyone make a good aftermarket rim for this car for winter use? TireRack doesn't seem to offer one.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

G500, CLK500
I'm running the Blizzak LM-25's, on the 17" stock rims. (I turned those into my winter wheels and bought 18" AMG's for summer)
225's all around for winter. I figured the smaller width would help, cross country ski vs snowboard through the snow? Worked well in Colorado. And as I am through about half the tread on the rear, I had them rotated/remounted already.
