I've just came to this thread and rolling all the pages with hunger. I love black series look but I loved the custom wide body more. This is unique project. I love it.

Thanks Kkozi! I’m going to post some pics of the old parts in case anyone is interested. And I’ll have some more updates soon since I’ve been working on the car the past few weekends. The entire aftermarket part of the audio system was unhooked and in disarray since they needed to access the trunk pan for welding so I’m finally getting around to redoing it now.
Still working on some things but had a few small things done that help dial in the car. Removed the speaker box for the rear deck I had made, and almost finished the Focal sound system finally, I’ll make a separate post on that huge undertaking! So as you guys may know, the rear suspension springs are always super soft on every coilover kit for the CLK, I’ve had Bilstein PSS9, KWV2, and now BC. They are all super sensitive to loading, and the ride height changes dramatically with people or even luggage in the trunk. Since I just took out the box and mufflers, I went ahead and reset the rear ride height and got an alignment to take out some camber and flush up the wheels some. It doesn’t look as good parked but when driving it looks appropriate and is good for road duty (not too low). It took a lot of fine tuning to get here but I think it’s all set! Oh and apparently the black series rear bumper exhaust cut outs are slightly wider spaced than the regular CLK63 rear bumper for quad exhaust because my tips didn’t line up anymore. I confirmed this by looking at google pictures of the actual CLK63 exhaust which looks like the mufflers are from a CLS Chassis or something. I also wanted to do quad chrome tips so I picked up some some CL Class tips and created a custom straight pipe exhaust, it is more rumbly and pronounced but luckily it doesn’t drone either!
Loved that car...have tons of pics...
Now I just have a skinny-body 2005 CLK55.....
Oh nice! I still have most of the old body parts if you want to beef it up and recreate your old car. CLK63 front bumper, custom wide front fenders, VIS CF hood, oe rear bumper with molded in diffuser, and now the matching Renntech Quad exhaust mufflers too!
Just hit 64K miles! I think that means less than 50K miles in these many years haha. Figured out the stereo and it sounds fantastic, need to do that write up soon! Pics for fun In the meantime.
Little bit of maintenance due, had that common oil leak onto the exhaust header on the passenger side. Didn’t know the 550 motors have valve covers sealed from the factory, no gaskets! So it was just a $75 part More money for it’s annual tire replacement, haha.
Glad to see your still active and holding down the w209!
