LED lights

Who has LEDs light bulbs and where. I was thinking led bulbs in the stop light bulbs ??

I upgraded my tails to the facelifted LED style - my favorite cosmetic mod so far.

I believe I paid $400USD shipped to Dubai, I bought them from eBay Germany. If you go that route, just make sure that you are getting the required resistors with them - I'm sure all the newer tails now have them but it never hurts to make sure.

LED's only require a fraction of the amperage to operate as a conventional incandescent bulb, the resistors do just that, build some resistance to simulate an OEM bulb so the ECU doesn't trip a fault for a burned out bulb.

I seeeee so replacing the standard brake bulbs with LED bulbs would throw the code

Yes - if they don't have built in resistors. You can now get some LED bulbs with them built in. Take a look at what ANZ Optics (MBWorld sponsor) offers, I bought my side marker and driving light LED's from them - work like a charm.
