CLK W209 240 Avantgarde Wheel Wobble
Hi There,
Im new to the forum and I have come accross a problem with my CLK240 Avantgarde that I hope someone can help me with![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Its a 2002/2003 model which has done approx 70k.
I have recently noticed the Steering wheel appears out of alignment (Approx 2'o'clock) and when I turn left slightly on a dual carriage way/motorway at speed (60mph plus) I experience a worrying wobble from the front right wheel.
Could anyone offer any suggestions as to what this could be please?
Is it likely to be a ball joint or possibly a control arm problem?
Any help would be greatly received.
Many Thanks!

If your steering wheel suddenly went that far off center, and you have a wobble only while turning, I would not drive that car at highway speeds. I do not know exactly what might cause it, but I'd drive it to the nearest competent place that can look at the suspesion. I suppose you could check first for obvious things - like somebody forgot to tighten a wheel back on. Or a seriously deformed tire.

Sounds like the car got hard curbed or something has catastrophically failed.
