60k Maintenance comments & Question (all filter change)

I took my car to mechanic and for 60k maintenance, these are what I need to get done.
btw... my car is 2003 CLK500
+ Engine oil change + Engine oil filter ($130 including labor)
+ Replace Fuel Filter ($120 including labor)
+ Replace Air Filter
+ Replace Cabin Filter
+ No transmission change required according to the car manual !!

I am planning to buy air filter and cabin filter, and to install them myself.
I usually buy parts from ebay or advance auto parts with coupon.
I usually go to Pepboys for engine oil change with coupons (~$100), but not this time.

Questions
===========
Do I need to buy 2 pcs of air filter?

I am thinking of buying Purolator Brand Cabin Air Filter(Advance Auto Part No: C25832) and Fram Air Filter(Advance Auto Part No: CA8768).
I am also considering buying Mann Air Filter. I would appreciate any comment on these brands.

Not sure if that will malfunction the MAF. At least, that's what happened to a W208.

Sounds a bit expensive. Something u can do. From what I read k&n filters are not that great.

its really up to preference. supposedly k&n is a performance upgrade. but if you **** up the washing drying oiling process, your maf is toast. so if you dont feel like your up for the challenge but want high end filters, go with bmc or green.

OR
just stick to oem.

seriously....only gonna gain at most .5 hp LOL (joke...sorta)

Might want to stay away from the green filters. The edges melt apparently.
