HIDextra HID Kit won't fit housing of 09 CLK550...HELP!
I have tried to search on this and was unable to find anything.
I just received my HID Kit from HIDextra. Thought it was going to be an easy task...not so much.
It appears that for the CLK550, the OEM adapter must be used in order to secure the H7 bulb. Therefore, the HID bulb from the kit will not fit securely since the OEM adapter does not go after the bulb.
Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you're talking about the fog lights, I'm pretty sure the shop that did my install had to drill through the OEM adapter and then hotglue the HID bulb into it.

yeah my friend used like industrial sticky putty to hold it in place on his clk 350...ghettoest thing...but it actually held well for a while...but the melted and got all over the bulb...and the bulb still worked for another few thousand miles LOL
but you may just have to use some sort of adhesive that can withstand the heat

I believe that MTEC makes something that fits it properly. IIRC I remember reading a C63 post talking about it - I presume the 550 has the same fogs/housings.

Search my post with pics. Sometime we need to used our creative thinking to make thing work. I made my own locking ring from the original bulb holder.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I talked to HIDextra customer support and they said that they don't have the bulb holder for it so I am going to return it.
Now I am gonna go with the alternate solution...Halogen bulbs.
Does anyone have any recommendation on some good halogen bulbs that is of good value? I want something that is brighter than the OEM ones.

Update...
I got my full refund from HIDextra without any drama. Thanks HIDextra.
I got some Philips CystalVision Ultra bulbs from Amazon for $22. They are definitely whiter/brighter then the stock ones (without being blue). So far so good.
