What do you think about the looks of the new CLK compared to the previous one?

 

I meant new CLK

 

I really like the front with the bi-xenons, the lights have a jewel quality to them and the back is growing on me. You really have to see it in person though, pictures tend not to do it justice.

 

I know, the more I look at it the more I get used to it, but I still think that the previous one looks more massive... you know what I mean? But when the new E came out I wasn't as impressed right away, but then ended up buying it and loving it. I'm sure once you sit your *** down into that car and drive it you'll forget about things that you might not have liked before.

the old one does look bulkier than the new one

but i prefer the new styling
the new front is much2 better if you compare the 2
the side is also better

i have aready get used to the back....it looks quite nice actually

 

I didn't like the new CLK at first - I was actually upset that MB changed it. And now, I own one. The back-end really bothered me at first, the front and side view was awesome. But, the back grew on me and I just couldn't resist

 

i never really liked the w208 clk that much. it is a classy car and everything though. even though it was based on the c class, they just subtracted two doors from the E class put a lower center of gravity and you get 'clk'. the car always looked dull to me. i dont know. great car nonetheless

as for the new one. when i saw pictures of it i knew i was gonna love it. the front was a definite improvement over the prevous. however when i saw it in person i thought it looked kind of plain. it couldnt really tell if it was a mercedes benz from the side and rear. it just looked bad from some angles. and it is not worth the price either imo. for 50 60 grand i would rather pick a c32 or E500

overall i would take the new one over the old one. but i was not drooling over either of them. i took the c320 inwhich i absolultely love. .

 

i like the W209 face, but I still prefer the W208's muscular side and rear


also,

I just noticed the W209 does not have power tip/slide front seats.. I think teh W208 had them (pull a lever and the seat will move for you so you can access the rear).. when I was at the dealership yesterday I had to physically push up the seat on the new CLK55 to get to the rear...

well, I like the interior of the 208 a lot better because it resembles the 210 E-class rather than the 209's interior which resmebles both the 203 C and 211 E in the mix. Exterior wise, I really like the 209. It looks much sleeker than the 208. The 208 although elegant, but it's getting dull since the exterior design roots from the 210 E-class that came out in 95.

overall I just have to say 208 CLK was good, but the 209 CLk is simply better.
