It's almost here...

I just got off the phone with the dealership.
My W209 is on the water right now.
They expect it to be at the VPC by the end of this month.
By mid-July I pick it up!

Good for you. I think it is so funny that my dealer in Toronto just received a 2003 CLK500 and you have a 2004 showing up in a few weeks. I asked him if he would discount it and he said no. I suspect this vehicle will be there for a long time.

I just wanted to post an update.

I got a call from my salesman today.
My CLK is now at the VPC.
He said the VPC was holding it because MB has not officially released the 04's yet. He said hopefully no more than another week.

PP, congrats on your upcoming car.

Im just wondering the availability of 04 production and whether yours was a special case or whether as of now, 04 production on CLKs have now started.

Reason I ask is my car is due for production in August. The dealer informs me its an 03 production but it seems inconsistent with posts on this board. Also the case that I am based in Sydney, would this make a difference?

Reggie,

My order was placed in April with a production start date of June 1, 03. I was told that this would be 1 of the first 04's. So, indeed 04 production has already begun.

I'm not sure what geography would play in this scenario but having a production date of August..I think that would give you an 04'.
