Squeaking
Squeaking
For the last 2-3 months, I hear squeaking noise from the back when going over bumps.
Went to MB dealership, they could hear the sound in a road test but they could not reproduce it inside the garage. They raised the car on a hoist and bounced the car, no squeaks. When up the hoist, they used a device to lift up the rear end then checked various parts, found nothing.
Any one here experienced similar situation?

I had a similar problem with a W203 C-class, except that bouncing the rear end of the parked car would reproduce the noise. One rear shock absorber was replaced under warranty and the problem went away.
That's going on for me right now as well but I just assume its time to replace the shocks. The roads here and terrible so I figure that is the result even though my mechanic says everything looks good under there.
My problem is when the car was up the hoist, there was no squeak no matter how hard we bounced the car. One tech actually sat inside the trunk and bounced the car, no squeak.
This is strange.

I have squeaking noise problem too, but mine coming from the front when I go over speed bumps or over intersection that are bell curved. It's more noticeable in cold weather. I took it in to MB and they were not able to reproduce it and I drove them in it and of course when they are in it, NO SOUND! I will check my hearing, but before I do, I have another appt with them next Monday to check it again. My car is under warranty, so hope they find the issue and it's covered under warranty.
My SA said I have 2 choices; one is to flow money to it, take apart the rear suspension and check everything. The other choice is to wait until the squeaking noise is more pronouned so they can detect it.
So, I will wait a few more weeks.
