I had a pair similar to these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-Error-F...0d7666&vxp=mtr. The resistors on the back ended up getting too hot and melting off the solder after a year of use. I got a new pair with an improved design with heat sinks on the back and only 3 led's. They seem to be holding up well

Went to visit a close friend in the states to see his newly acquired BS
I love this thing so much . It's such an animal. Stupid fast, excellent seats and surprisingly comfortable. The ride wasn't that harsh at all, but when you threw it into a corner it was well planted.
Oh and these came in the mail

I like those wheels! They are very similar to the ones I had on before my CF 360 Forged, but mine were black.

Got the new wheels on.
I don't understand this....
The rear wheels are 18 x 9.5 ET25.
When they did a test fit, the wheel was sunk in and it was against the fender liner and couldn't spin. I had to put on a 15mm spacer to clear the fender liner and now it sits a bit past the fender so I'm rubbing on slight bumps. I'm going to try a 10mm spacer tonight.
I thought ET25 would make it nice and flush? Or to the LEAST, it would clear the fender liner and not have to use a spacer....
Some pics:
Overall they look awesome and I love the finish of the wheels. The nice wide lip in the rear is what I was looking for.

It's just crazy to me Richie because we have the same exact wheel except mine is black and a 19", but I also have ET 25 all around and have no rubbing. The only time I rub is if I hit a steep dip, but it only would rub in the front. What are you sitting on?

Something doesn't sound right here Richie. ET35's fit the 209 on all 4 corners with no rubbing - that's what most guys have. My custom rear wheels are ET25 (fronts are ET30) and they are nice and flush - this is what most guys end up having when they run 10mm spacers on their ET35 wheels. If you had to slap on 15mm spacers on your ET25's then you are now running an ET10, 15mm more than me, your tires should be sticking out quie a bit.
It almost sounds like the ET rating of your wheels is incorrect, did you measure them?

That's exactly what I'm thinking Kev...I have the same wheels with an ET25 all around and have no problems...I would check the offset yourself Richie to be sure because it doesn't sound right because ET10 is very wide...

One thing I've learned is to never trust wheel specs - way to much 'imagination' on their part unfortunately.

Alright took the wheels off last night and took off the 15mm spacer.
I threw the wheel on without the spacer and it fits fine and clears the shock area.
I don't know what my tire shop was talking about when they said it sunk in and it was against the inner fender...
Anyway my bolts are too long so I'm going to order these: http://www.radusadirect.com/product/...at-Hex-17.html
I have 10mm spacers in the rear in the meantime until the new bolts come in. Still rubbing a bit but not as bad as before.
Akebono Ceramic Brake pads and Goodridge SS brake lines are next on my list Going to order those in a week.
Also pretty tempted to lower this bad boy. The lowest price for springs I've found were at Eurosportdesign; H&R Sports for $268 shipped. Not bad!

Tire shop didn't perhaps sell you the 15mm spacers did they...?
That's a great price for the springs, jump on it!

Akebonos are great, as I have them on mine just be sure not to track with them as Kev can definitely speak too...
Also, let me know how the ss lines are because I was looking to do this pretty soon.

That's good to hear man, but jump on those springs and don't forget about utilizing spring pads to even out the look.

Wheels look great. I have always like Mandrus. A set springs will really do the whole look a favor.
Akebono's will really save your wheels from dust.

The wheels do look great - Great taste...... I have the same wheels on mine.... Our cars may also be the same. I used the H&R sport springs. They've been in about 2 years. Will try to post a pic.

BTW Though not qualified to speak to the ride in Toronto with a lowered W209, I did not notice much, if any, degradation in the cars ride during normal, generally straight, driving. The sport springs gave a bit more "flatness" in sweeping curves, and control. The suspension at each corner seemed to work just as well.
H&R sway bars, with the firmer setting, seems to make the suspension less "independent".

Some quick shots
I got shorter ball seat bolts for the rear so I can take off the 10mm spacer.
No more rubbing. Though I miss the little poke the 10mm gave me
Brake pads and SS lines will be here next weekend.
