I'm not really sure what you're asking. When I get out of the car my wheel doesn't tilt up because the seat is far enough back. If I have the seat forward for my race setting then the wheel tilts up out of the way and the seat slides back when I turn the ignition off.

If your seat is all the way back then of course only the wheel will tilt up, the seat can't go back any further dude.

Is this a cabriolet? If so, it does not move the seat on this setting - only the steering wheel.

in the settings you can choose if you want the seat to go back and the steering wheel to go up or just the wheel by itself

My coupe does both, but my seat (THE seat) is all the way back, so just the steering wheel moves. I had to stop myself from using the wheel to ease my butt in and out of the car for fear of breaking it (the wheel).

Mine just moves the wheel, and only most of the time. More when starting it occasionally won't put the wheel down, so I'll hold my seat memory button. My seat's NOT all the way back, so I'll check the settings.

Mine does the same thing. ('03 Coupe.) Even when I have the convenience exit setting for both steering wheel and seat, only the steering wheel has ever moved. I'm 5'9", so the seat is nowhere near as far back as it goes...

Perhaps there's some cutoff point in between (other than all the way back)? ...Maybe if I had the seat at some point further up it would work?

Perhaps there is also another cutoff point (further back, or in this case, all the way back) for the steering wheel??

IIRC, the owners manual gives no hint of there being any such seat/wheel position limits, with regard to this convenience exit feature.

If the seat is far enough back then it wont move it back any further. I'm 6 and change and it stays put, my 5'4 wife is short enough for it to move though.

Okay, well that settles it. Thanks. At least I know now there's nothing wrong with it...it sure would have been nice if the owners manual made some mention of this though!

I checked mine: I've got 2 choices, on or off, no seat/wheel options.

CONFIRMED!

I just confirmed this, using my wife's seat memory-setting. Previously, I had the setting set for "steering wheel only", thinking that the seat part of it didn't work--so why have it set that way--not thinking that when the wife drove the car (invariably, picking me up from bars ...and pouring me into bed), that it might have made a difference on her seat memory setting (closer and more upright). Bottom line: Sure enough, when set to "steering wheel+seat" it works for my wife's seat setting, but not mine. (...First time in my life I've ever even considered a benefit to being even shorter than I already am. LOL.)

Where would seat/wheel selections be?

Looks like your car is either a convertible, or for some reason has the brain of one...

My owners manual says coupe on the cover and doesn't mention anything about the seat in that feature:
(from page 42)
Easy-entry/exit feature
This feature allows for easier entry into and
exit from the vehicle. When entering and
exiting the vehicle, the steering wheel is in
its uppermost position.

The easy-entry/exit feature can be
activated or deactivated in the
Convenience submenu of the control
system (see page 164, attached).
