Foot Pedals
 

I see that many of you have ordered the AMG foot pedals from JBSPEED.

I have been wanting these pedals for the longest time but I was told that the gas pedal was not a bolt-on.

I recall I read that it needed a drill for the installation. I cannot remember the details. Can someone help and clarify the installation of these pedals? My car is a 2004 CLK320.

Yes, that would be the logical thing to do.

I did ask in his post and sent him a PM as well.
He responded to my PM and suggested I asked other members.

Klinh has them installed

Taking them off is easy also there is a rubber gasket going around each on with a lip you just need to pry them off then install new ones with screws.

Are these replacements of the original rubber pedals? Or I have to bolt them on top of the original rubber?

Which piece do I need a drill to make holes?

I'm really susprised that you have to asked to install these simple mods. Every mods that I has done on all my cars, I just look at the parts and try to understand how it designed and the installation should very simple.

Your oem rubber paddle on the parking brake and brake paddle should just pull right off. Your gas paddle rubber, just use the plier and pull the plastic pin then just pull off the rubber (go these route if you want to keep the oem rubber) or you can just cut the oem rubber from the gas paddle. Next, before you start drilling holes on all the paddles, you want to make sure your placement of all the new paddles perfectly align up/down and side to side, I used double sided tape to held all the paddles in place then use the marker to mark all the holes that need to be drill. Then remove all the new paddle and start drilling. :y

I don't work on my car too much. While my car is well-maintained, I have no mod. I am probably missing a lot.

Thanks for the instructions. How about he foot rest? Since the car does not come with a foot rest, should I drill into the carpet?

Correct just line it up where you want it and drill away it will hold.

Again, you have the parts already? If you did, did you even look at the footrest parts ? The footrest paddle came with self taping screw, right? Do not drill hole for your footrest. Since you can't see behind there, you can drill throught the wires and cause shorted out your electrical system or damages what ever behind it.

I did not order the part yet. I did not know if this would be an easy job.

I did ask my SA in the dealership about these metallic pedals. He told me that the gas pedal came with the whole mechanism in the back and it would be a big job to replace.

I miss spoke I apologize, Klinh is correct about the self tapping screws. It is a very easy mod to do seriously. I am not a car guy at all it was a 15 min job to get done. With that said I bought the AMG pedels from a diffrent source and I cant be for the ones that you are looking at are the same as the ones I got.

The brake pedal just slips on after you take the other one, the foot rest is self tapping screws and the brake and gas pedal need to be drilled as Klinh says. take a look at this pic you can see the screws and other hardware.

I"m sorry for being negative but I'm a straight shooter. Here's goes.....those paddle with AMG logos on it doesn't look right because the design look nothing like AMG design. Here's mine and the parking brake also need to drill hole.

The pic shown are aftermarkets Klinh. Yours are OEM thats why the others are little off and and more than likely cost allot less...

No.......mine are also aftermarket and I got it for around $65 shipped. The real oem AMG are not aluminum base.

But yours aren't replica's either are they? If they aren't an exact copy then everything is open for debate :nix:
