Will This Fit?

Hey Guys,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of Style 818's from Powerwheelspro :http://www.powerwheelspro.com/shop/p...roducts_id=419

Only problem is i need 10mm spacers up front to make them fit. The wheels are 8.5 +35 offset, and i'm wondering if the wheel is gonna stick out too much with a 10mm spacer? Has anyone done this or have a CLK with a wheel that's a 8.5 with a +25 offset?

Thanks guys.

Is it for brake clearance or what? A 32et wheel sits fender flush and looks nice.

Beautiful wheels. I had 10mm spacers on my 8.5" Sonic front wheels, it brought the total ET to 25, they looked pretty good. My custom 360 Forged wheels are ET30 (front) and they are chalk line flush. ET25 on the rear looks perfect IMO, that's what my custom rears are.

So if 30 is flush, 25 sticks out a lil? Do you have any pictures of your sonic wheels with the 25?

Mka77: i'm doing it for fitment, Powerwheelspro doesn't make offsets for us

ET30 up front is perfect flush IMO and as per a drop line, ET25 still looks very good and does not noticeable stick out at all. Remember, I'm a perfectionist and the crap I notice on my ride no one else does for the most part....

ET25 looks great, go for it. And no, no pics of the Sonic wheels right now (I'm out of the country as always) but if you look on about page 10 or so of my goodies thread I have a pics of my car when I got the headlight housings done in black - you can see the wheel stance pretty good.

***Edit*** Look on page #11, post #260

Thanks man! I have a 18.5 +32 and i had 10MM spacers and to me it stuck out too much with my 235's up front. Now i have 225 so perphaps the +25 won't be back. Sonictunning as the 181's in a +32 which would fit perfect with no spacers

Nice wheels... I love the style
Just my2 cents... I would avoid a spacer on the front if at all possible. the clk front hub is pretty tricky. You will have a Hell of a time getting the wheels to balance.
I know Kev said 25 et in the front will work, but I would be very careful on your tire selection as you may run into a rubbing issue. 30 is the right et for sure.

It seems you are trying to save some bucks based on your recent posts... Can't say I blame you, but this is one area where getting it right is absolutely critical.
Poor fitting and unbalanced wheels will drive you crazy every time you get in the car. Take your time, deal with a reputable local wheel and tire shop where you can test fit before you make your decisions.

You own an engineering masterpiece... Don't screw it up by making a decision you will regret.

Good luck... Looking forward to seeing the results!

I have powerwheelspro wheels style 801.
I have 10MM spacers in both front and rear.
it sticks out a bit but i like that look. (very minuscule)

for front spacers, you are better off getting the H&R spacers. it needs a special one to be mounted. rear spacers, you can use any as long as its hubcentric. but i will say, im lowered on springs and shocks...265 on the rear and i driving and i hit a dip on the freeway or something like that. normal cruising with no problems.

EuroTra$h, thanks for your input. I really want the AMG Style 4 or SL63 wheels but i don't wanna pay OEM Retail for them. I been waiting for a good set on the classifieds but i'm getting over it.

I agree as far as the spacers go up front, for my Mandrus i had to balance the wheels 4 times so they drove good with the H&R Spacers, but now w/o they are pefect. Mine is a +32 and i love the stance. I'm leaning towards the Sonictunning wheels which are the same but have a +30 up front, just becuase i don't wanna deal with the spacers and etc.

That was a God damn good post, I couldn't agree more. The first set of wheels I bout were based on cosmetics, epic fail in regards to quality and vehicle fitment. I've got a great set now but what a horrendous venture it was with the last wheels.

+1 but i will say that ive been driving on the pwp wheels for almost 2 years now. no dents to the rim and i think pretty good quality for reps.

BUT on the other hand, a custom made wheel, forged to your liking is the best option if you have the money for it. Then again, I wouldnt have known what offset that I would like to run on my future set up without getting these reps and spacers first. you can really tell what you really like after you've had it. next set of rims going for the hella flush look =)

Glad to hear you are going the non spacer route. I'm sure you'll be more happy with the end result.
