Is 1200 bucks too much to pay for rear lower control arm bushings to be replaced?
My Clk32 W209 is squeaking really loud from the rear. When Parked pushing down on the vehical it sounds like the shocks or springs are squeaking, I took the car to a shop, they said the shocks and springs are fine the lower control arm bushings needed to be replaced estimate $1200, I had a second shop look at the car and they said the rear strut mounts needed replaced I am confused,, I've had this car for 3 yrs and have put about 50,000 miles on it and I Plan on keeping it for life, no mods or anything everything is factory, I was waiting until I paid it off first before any upgrades, My concern is that I don't want to get ripped off by having the bushings replaced only to find out i need strut mount too, I have keep my car running pretty good Thx to this forum, just wanted to get some opinions from you guys before I make a move, anythiny thoughts would help
Thx
