clk 240 HELP! lost many electric functions
hi, was wondering if anyone can help me, today i was parked up at the school with roof down, locked car up and walked away, within minutes the alarm was going off. on return back to the car it started up fine, but on arrival back home i realised that i had no central locking from remote, no seat belts come forward, boot doesnt open, no indicators or hazards, rear lights are on pemanently, fuel shows empty when i know its got half a tank, when i open doors the windows dont go down that bit to close doors again. Car starts and drives fine, just hasnt got any of the above. checked all fuses ect, but sounds like it will be expensive if i take to a dealer. Any ideas please. Its a clk240 2004 plate.

What is the age of the battery. Reason I ask is all kinds of strange things happen when the battery gets old even if it has life enough to start the car. Electronics are real sensitive to even slight voltage drops.

Hi there, the battery is about 2 months old. Hadn't used it for a while during really cold weather and wouldn't start, so just brought one and put it on. Last night the hazards suddenly started flashing and though that's strange, they don't work! Went out to it, opened door, window dropped aswell, turned hazards off, shut door, windows went back up fine. Pressed remote and all central locking worked aswell. Thought result, back to normall. Within 10 minutes alarm was going crazy, remotes wouldn't work, and couldn't get in even with the metal bar out remote. Now sat on drive and can't even get in it.

i was parked in a gas station pumping gas. when turning on the car, i had ESP light, Front Lights on, rear lights on, gas meter suddenly showing empty, ABS on, no central lock..etc.
found out that my COMMAND unit had a glitch and was sending random signals on the CAN BUS which resulted with all failures...
disconnected it from the CANBUS and everything was normal.. now the COMMAND is only linked to go on & off... it shuts down every 30 minutes since it thinks the car is not running (normal procedure since it has only electricity running to it and nothing else)

Mine did the same since at first since I was missing a wiring harness.

Since it was disconnected from CANBUS, steering wheel controls are there for nothing...
i need to manually power on & off the radio.. it can still read tracks, stations, also they are saved.. yet for the car this does not exist
