So simple to replace. Easy access too. I replaced mine with a set of Hella Supertones.

So you are disassembling the steering wheel, right? Can you explain what you are trying to do? Working with the steering wheel clockspring assembly is not that difficult, you just have to make sure it is installed and properly centered when reinstalling it.

horn location
hi, i just took my cls500 to the dealer because my horn wasn't working properly i only heard a low sound. they said both horns need replacing, and they want $600 to change them!! can you believe this exorbitant sum?! i asked them why its so much they said the parts are $300 and labor is $300 as its a 2.5hr install since they have to remove the aromatic pump to reach the horns. is this true??? does anyone know the location of the horns on a cls500 and is it a straightforward install to do myself if i get the parts. i see the horns on ebay for about $50.00 each
thanks

Sorry OP i jumped the gun when i saw horn on the thread title. I have been meaning to fix mine since the horns go off when turning sometimes.
Sad that they would really quote that much for parts and labor especially. I replaced mine in about 10 minutes if that. Could be different i don't know but i doubt it.
