I'm probably going to buy a 2004 CLK320 and was wondering what the recommended oil change interval was. I'm an easy driver. Just curious since it's 15k on the 300ci, which I'm also considering (but not currently favoring).

i think all benzes are every 10k. if you are easy to moderate driver this will be good enough.

i really dont get bmws idea of 15k, since bimmer drivers usually push there cars even harder. go figure.

depending on how the car is driven

stop and go / in city driving / short trips < 5 miles

or

freeway driving & longer trips

the shortest interval will be 10,000 miles, the theoretical longest interval could be 20,000.

The FSS also factors in contamination / condensation in the oil and how long since the last service, so time becomes a factor as well...
