I always appreciate quality work when it comes to custom car audio, absolutely loved being in that game and will be again here pretty soon I hope...

The unit looks great but as I said in the other thread, the resolution is on par with 6 and 7 inch screens so you're actually going to have an image that's bigger, but less clear. In the end, it's just for a car so whatever blows your fur back

Not of the top of my head, no. I'd have to do some digging around, I remember a few guys complaining about the voice entry on the Pioneer, everything gets better in time. Take Siri for example, the base software, Dragon was pretty good when it was released, then it was improved quite a bit (it's what came on my iPad3), Siri was a big jump and already an update is coming promising much better interaction/understanding.

I'm guessing that at CES 2013 we're going to see quite a few Bluray in-dash units with quite good voice interface.

Thanks Kev, never liked stock sound systems in any car. i would never pay 3k+ for stock navi and bose or HK upgrade.

@ Midnight AMG
im in NEW YORK, Queens.
rockford makes some solid products.
im running a Boston Acoustics SPG555 sub in their factory ported box. this thing slams. rated at 1000w rms and 2000w peak. ill be feeding it 1200w. i need another 1200-2k depending on what navi i go with. im looking at the alpine 8" unit but might settle for the new Pioneers for the price. the other unit i was looking at was kenwood 990x? their new flagship model.
i just want the Alpine bc its 8" lol. another unit i was actually looking at was the new JVCs bcause they have iheartradio app built in and their maps look good but its rated 2.5 volts. i want atleast 4 and up.

hopefully the tweeters fit in the stock location, if not i was looking at getting custom Apillars made.

and Kevwood cant wait to see your audio build. i love your car build over all. i wish i had more money lol but im 22 working and college so its all fair game
