06 CLK 350 Cabriolet stay or pass?
Thanks to all for the help of this forum. I have learned much about the car I am interested in.
Looking at a 06 CLK 350 convertible with 75000 miles on it.
An engine number of 272...30 266598
Its summer and hot so the tranny works just fine.
No major service history with this Cabriolet
It has been under MB dealer care as far as I can tell and is in top shape. Runs great.
The seller wants top price in KBB for private party.
Would you consider this or walk?

I agreed with Rudeney.
Although the percentage is low on the failure, it still looms. $5-7k is a costly repair you don't see coming.
I had an 06 coupe I drove 53k with not a single issue. Sold it for good money, and moved on.

I love my 2006 coupe, which I bought almost 3 yrs ago. Had tranny work done under warranty and recently got MBUSA to give me $500 back after a $1300 repair. So far, so good. I'd suggest you find a car w/ AMG and BiXenons, the things that haunt/haunted me!
