Red BAttery Warning - FIX?
There are a few posts where the battery indicator warning comes up (battery - visit workshop), but I've yet to find anyone if actually found a real solution (or got it fixed in by the shop).
I've replaced my battery (yes, only one battery in the CLK320 (W209)). But I still have a warning light for the battery.
So, here's the issue: replaced battery, voltage is 12.7V; running alternator (checked on batttery posts) voltage reads 11.2V. Is this voltage low for a CLK320 2005? Is it the alternator? Some posts refer to replacing the crankshaft position sensor??
Has anyone actually solved this Visit Workshop battery problem? What was your solution?

That voltage seems low with engine running.
I would trickle charge the new battery, measure voltage across ba theory terminals , than start car and measure volts again. Volts should go up when running. If they dont then possible alternator issue.

I currently have the same problem, displaying the red battery warning light - visit workshop.
However, I have checked my battery (Yuasa), which has a see though lens indicator on the top of the battery, where if green, it means the battery is ok, black means recharge and red means dead.
Mine is green, the car starts with no problem, my lights are not dimming (indicating a good battery charge).
Does anyone know what it might be, if not the actual battery?
it's 28th Aug now and my local Mercedes specialist can't look at it until the 13th Sept - which I am a bit concerned about.
I am hesitant going to a main dealer, as they just 'extract the urine' and are way too expensive at £100 every 30 minutes for labour and that's without the parts they invent are required in addition to what is needed.
Am I in danger of damaging the car if I need to drive it?
Also, I checked the battery and alternator (turn key once, press reset three times) they are both fine.

Samea kind of problem
First of all alternator has been changed, battery bigger one is good, have not checked the small one.
First started To flash up trunk Light and can't lock the car because it start To flash turn lights.
Now won't load battery, keeps saying can't use any function, chair warmers et. uknow so today started saying this battery/alternator stop vehicle!
Any suggestions where To start chasing the problem?
Have code reader, but haven't checked yet, is the little battery friend Come To the end?
Back Sam Maybe works.. Oh and shield lights and one front Light also out of order.
