my son stuck something behind the non smoking compartment in the cockpit of my 2005 clk 320 how do i remove it as some plastic piece is after falling behind as well

 

I give up. What is the "non smoking compartment"?

 

instead of an ash tray it has a compartment need to know how do i get it out

 

Does it have a door that flips up? I don't think I've ever seen what you are talking about. But it probably removes the same way. If it has a door, open it. Then grab the front of the big piece that surrounds your shifter and pull straight up to release two clips. There are two clip in front that hols it and two "hooks" in the back. Pull it up and slide forward ot remove the hooks. Then you should see two small plastic clips that hold your "ashtray" in. Carefully disconnect the two small tabs and the whole thing lifts out. If yours looks nothing like this, then post up a picture. But start by removing the shifter surround.
