Feedback from other drivers....
Just curious ....when driving your car do you get some thumbs up or comments from other drivers? I think it is an absolutely beautiful car.!!

A EURO command is a European Command Navigation unit. I purchased my car off the lot and Command was not one of the options installed.
Shortly after I found this site, I learned about Steve Krabbenborg (s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com). Steve is a guy who lives in the Netherlands and is VERY knowledgable about every model Mercedes. He visits the US a few times a year and installs all sorts of Mercedes accessories at very reasonable prices. If you search on posts with the username MBenzNL, you will see that he is a very busy guy installing accessories !
One of the things he is best known for around here is bringing European Command Navigation units from Germany and installing them in many different Benz models here in the US. 99% of all dealers will tell you this can't be done but Steve knows otherwise.

People love my CLK, and I get many looks. Espically since I lowered the car and put chrome wheels on it, so it's pretty flashy.
Also, I do own a Viper, and barley any other car on the road gets the looks my Viper does. Plus, I have the performance to match the looks!

Ah, Scott AFB, just went past their on business in Nashville, IL.

MY CLK55 gets many looks...I catch people all the time staring at the car....when I have my girlfriend with me I joke around with her and say....Its the car honey, not you!!
I've only had one guy so far say something to me....I was at a gas station and he walks past it as I"m pumping and he says" That has nice chrome exhaust"
I guess he was a chrome type of guy.....thats all he noticed. I said thanks and kept pumping.
Maybe its because I'm here in Connecticut, but people were drooling over my old CLK430 too!!! Must not see alot of nice cars around here!!

When I drive up to my Century City office (in Los Angeles), I get no looks for my 03 CLK 500. Gotta park my clunker next to those Ferrari's, 911 Turbo's, CL 600's, and Rolls Royce's.
If you go down the street, they have a Budget Rent-a-car center which has all of the above mentioned cars for rent.
Looks like head turning looks depend on where you live.

Funny story that just happened yesterday. I was visiting my girlfriend's mom's cottage at a beach in Rhode Island. We drove there in my CLK55. I park "The Beast" right out front for everyone to see
not an hour passes, and there's a group of ten kids gathered around my car....about 14 to 20 years old. So I see them from inside the cottage and my girlfriend stands in the front doorway and says " you guys like my car??"....they all say..."YEAH!!!" and run away down the road. I laughed my butt off!!

Yeah....
The good ole STL. Here, my CLK gets a ton of looks. No one owns a W209 around here (320 or 500). I see a few W208's, but it's nothing like CA or any other large city.
Let's not even get into the stuff my Viper gets....
