H&R suspension question??
So i was going to order the H&R springs for my clk320 '05. after reading many many posts, i came to the conclusion that it's not low enough in the front for my taste. So my only other option of going lower in the front is going with adjustable coilovers. Here's the question:
I did a little bit of research and the part number for the w203 (c320) H&R springs are the same as my car (same springs basically) and the part number for the bilstein pss9 coilover set up for the w203 (c320/c240) are the same as the part number for the w209 clk320 as well.
I want to buy the H&R street coilover set up for my car, but they don't make a w209 clk320 specific set. They only make a set for the w203 c320/c240 vehicle. So i talked to the west coast H&R distributor (he says he is, I don't know for sure, but he can get any H&R item i want at a really great price) and he said that he knows for sure it'll fit my car.
do you guys think that it'll be ok?? he'll be doing the install in his shop, and he says he guarantee it to fit. Like i said above, bilstein sells the same pss9 set up for both the w203/c320 and the w209 clk320, H&R sells the same sport springs for these vehicles as well. I just figured that it makes sense that the H&R coilover set should fit fine. I figured it's like the c55 front bumper that fits the clk but it's not listed for my car.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post.

well, I guess since no input.... tomorrow Ill be having the guy install them. I guess I'll be the guinea pig for this one.
If it all goes well, now at least you all will know that we have another option for coilovers.

W209 55
I have H&R sport springs on my car and the front is still way too high. I have about an inch and a half gap. Better than what it was stock for sure, but I would have preferred lower.
Sorry, I don't have any input on the coilover situation. All I can say is that I had those H&R CO's for my SLK and I loved them!

so i got the car done today. i'll post some pics tomorrow. Got the back pretty low, the front needs minor adjustment to get it lower. Back is about 1.5" lower now, front is same, but i'm going to bring it down another .5" in the front after some adjustments.
First impressions of a short ride around: It definitely looks a lot lower, but surprisingly it rides very nice. I think that if i didn't tell my passenger that the cars been lowered, they would never know by the way it ride. Rides very smooth, but behind the wheel it feels a lot stiffer around the corners. Not much body roll at all (compared to stock). Car feels like it sticks to the ground a lot better, steering also feels more responsive.
i don't know if anyone here knows, but the H&R street coilover system actually says on the box that it's for the w203 and w209.
It's weird because no one including H&R website lists a H&R street coilover system for the w209.

^sweet. please post pics !!! i am stuck here as well, idk if i should save up and get the pss9 or just opt out for the H&R. the HR are like a grand on ebay, if you do not mind how much did you get yours for? if i recall there is no damper adjustment.
