PURCHASING 2009 CLK 550
Im considering buying a car out of state which has 4 seasons and snows during the winter. I was wondering if that has any effect on the engine or the performance of the car in any way what so ever. Please let me know thanks!!
Performance - Yes, unbelievable burnouts in the snow, summer driving becomes boring.

Seriously, to answer the OP's question, I wouldn't worry much. The biggest concern is that the salt used on the roads to clear snow and ice can cause some parts to rust. The good news is that modern MBZs are pretty good about not rusting. On a 3-4 year old car, I wouldn't worry much about it.
Generally your just getting a car that has a far more pitted up windscreen, headlights & front bumper (winter road gravelling) and more wear in the floor mats from melted snow. Put the car up on a hoist before buying and give the undercarriage a good one over.
