CLK 350 Resonator Delete
I was thinking about getting a resonator delete for my CLK 350. However, I couldn't find anyone else that has done it. Do you think its worth getting one done on a CLK 350? Will it sound better?

I have done mine. Don't expect much besides a longer drown a little louder. Very little...
Well worth it anyway, but you'll get used to the sound and forget it was even done lol

I deleted the resonator on my 550, but it was done along with other changes to the exhaust. I noticed no changed. One of the chages made was adding a magnaflow x pipe, which would offset some ill effects of deleting the resonator.
Upon inspecting the resonator what I found was just a straight pipe through the resonator case with just two openings on either side of the pipe near the exhaust entry end. The openings were about the size of a dime put cut in the shape of cathetral door (rounded top with a flat bottom - rounded part toward the entry end).
Others have posted that their resonators were perforated. Mine was not. I don't know if the setup is different on a 350 vs a 550 or if the MY makes a difference.

hi i did my resonator delete today. instead i did a straight pipe... well now it sounds deeper better. although i didnt notice any change on performance....
i guess the resonator on 209 all it does is make it not sound that much....
car: clk 240 v6 m112 engine.

I don't believe you will be able to feel any change in performance. The resonator is a relatively small percentage of your total exhaust system. Even if you did more extensive changes to your exhaust, seeing performance gains would likely require an ECU tune. Deletion is mostly for sound.

There was no difference when I removed my resonator, but when I removed my secondary cats there was a little difference. What was most noticeable was the way the car would pull at around 3K RPMs; it just felt different than with the secondary cats on, of course in a good way
