Cats vs. sniff test

Over the last few years I've seen a whole lot of questions regarding what cats will and will not pass the sniff test. I just had my yearly registration inspection done (PASSED well, the car is completely stock so I guess it should have right? ) with a 3rd cat set up so I figured I'd post up the info for others whio are interested.

1st year
Relevant mods: Completely stock
Cats: OEM rimary & secondaries
Passed

2nd year
Relevant mods: AMS tubular exhaust manifolds, ECU tune
Cats: OEM primary cats, secondaries deleted
Passed

3rd year
Relevant mods: Kleemann; supercharger/ECU tune/headers
Cats: One set of 100 cell metal core primaries
Passed

I really wasn't sure if I'd pass or not, if I hadn't I would have had to temporarily add a OEM primary cat back in just to pass but, didn't have to. Besides that, I'm very "fortunate" that the inspector didn't notice any modifications that may or may not have been performed to the car...

That's good to know. I guess what remains now is to see how long those high-flow primaries last.

Well, they are going to fail a lot faster on my car than on anything else I'd imagine, I push the hell out of it on the track, I guess I should keep tabs on the mileage & laps run eh? Actually, I was considering having them cut out and add flanges, then just bolt in some bubble resonators - then it's an easy swap to toss the cats back in come inspection time...
