Fair enough!

I opened the covers again last night, Do not use 5970 on top of the rubber gasket, it will come out then the car is heat cycled. I have had to start again with the complete sealing of the vent chambers as you cannot garantee anything gets in there when cleaning it all.

There may be more suitable products to use with the rubber gasket, but for now I'm going with what I should have done and followed the WIS ie use NO sealant.

The 5970 works very well on the vent chambers, they were incredibly hard to get off after only being on for 3 days, note the sealant had cured on the sides, but was slightly uncured on the very peak of the rib, Its easy to see why it would take forever to cure on top of the valve cover gasket which is close to air tight.
