06 clk500 problems
Hello All,
Needed some advice!
Someone had hit me in an accident and when I picked up my car and brought it home I noticed that half way home my dashboard lights started flickering and my steering wheel felt a little harder to turn, although it worked and my speedometer didn't work either. After dashboard lights flickered a few lights stayed on such as check engine, abs, and on the display it said speedtronic visit workshop and one other that I can not remember at the moment. So the next day I brought it in for a diagnostics test and nothing came up and of course none of the lights were on when I started the car and now it is happening again. I asked some for advice and they said maybe battery and alternator?
Any advice would be really helpful.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
If the car was hard to steer, it sounds like the serpentine belt. I'd suspect a bad idler or tensioner pulley, causing the belt to slip, thus not driving the power steering pump or alternator.

Thanks for your advice rodney.
The lights had since turned off randomly ... I after had a diagnostics guy AFTER the lights turned off and of course since the lights turned off and everything went back to normal there were no error codes to be read.
Yesterday, the only light that turned back on was the check engine light. I had a diagnostics done by a mechanic, not by a mercedes star diagnostic system again and 2 error codes came up. 1 was the coil on the 8th cylinder that needed to be replaced and the other was a communications error in the instrument cluster. The mechanic error code diagnostic could not pinpoint the communications error directly but did replace the coil. After deleting the error code the check engine light has since not came back on. I am expecting the instrument cluster error to come back in some way shape or form but until then, my check engine light is off.
