Indy repair trying to scare me from pulley install
I need some advice guys. I'm about to get this AMS pulley installed and the local MB independent shop advises against it.
He says "9 times out of 10, there's a pin that gets sheared off and then the crankshaft needs to be replaced. This is because the aftermarket pullies aren't machined correctly".
I called the MB dealership here and they act like this install will be fine. Obviously neither place will warranty my work because I'm supplying my own part.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Kyle.

I've had a crankshaft snout rounded off due to faulty crankshaft bal install (by myself)...... so it can happen.
This was 25 yrs ago on a domestic product, but if you have any doubts I would sell this part and get headers/tune.

The AMS pulley is a exact specs has for as dimensions goes. I have had mine for a little over 2 month no problems to report as of yet, And yes I can tell a big difference with it installed. I know of a few members here that have had the pulley installed for years now also no proplems.
