CLK240 Engine swap?
Hey guys, I am new here , and yes I tried to do a search before I posted this.
I was wondering whether it would be easy to swap a M112 engine for a M272 engine in my 2004 CLK.
How easy would it be to mount the engine and also the electronics?
I found a practically free CLK280 engine that works and was just curious //

I would imagine that as long as you have the complete wire harness & ECU, it should be straightforward since they are both CLK offered engines.

The M272 and M112 V6's are very similar and are drop-in replacements (assuming the replacement comes with its own belts, accessories, ECU and wiring). Note that you should check the serial number on that M272 engine (we can look it up by VIN in EPC for you) to make sure you aren't getting one with potential balance shaft problems.

Clk 240 engine swap
My clk 240 2005 (w209) runs on the 5g tronic transmission, i was thinking of swapping my engine with the clk 350 engine but it runs on the 7g tronic transmission and i dont think mine can handle the torque, am i right? And would it be possible to perform a c32 amg engine swap? I know a clk320 swap is easy but it’s not worth it since it doesnt offer that much power. If you have any other ideas for my clk 240 let me know im new to this.
