This doesnt look too good to me. I mean on the picture ! I hate this idea since I was waiting for this model but I like the new coupe better and the old clk cabriolet. So I will wait the official presentation of the new CLK before I replace my 208. So it shoulb be the current cabriolet or the new coupe.. any thoughts

The first pic of the CLK cabriolet look like photoshopped to me... the 2nd and 3rd pic are computer generated.

Hope that's not the final design

The oversized rib on the side view somehow looks out of place on the Cabriolet. The rear view is a great improvement over the coupe version of the new model. The front is A-OK on both cab and coupe since it rather successfully emulates the front of the new SL.

Any confirmatiion that there will in fact be a folding hardtop as in the SLK and SL for the cabriolet, and that 4-matic will be an available option on the CLK Cabriolet?

well, he sounded sure about it... but personally, i can't totally believe it until i see another official source. we were just talking about new cars in general, and he threw that out.

I can only confirm the RUMORS, that the new CLK Cabrio (A209)
gets a vario-roof (folding hardtop), but it is NOT yet sure,
because actual spyshots only show a soft-top dummy (just that
dummy which is used with the new SLK R171).

The Possibility for a 4 seater was shown by the German cabrio-
specialist "Karmann" with the current CLK A208 at the IAA 1999
in Frankfurt/Germany - they used a 3-part vario-roof for the CLK.
