Question COMAND NTG2 CD changer

Hi

I have the glove box CD changer in my CLK, it has CDs in.

On the Audio menu of my COMAND NTG2, I see 'Radio' and 'Aux' in blue. But 'CD' is gray and cannot be selected!

Has anyone else had this problem? I can't play a CD without removing the NAv Disk from the head unit...

Cheers
Bren

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Does the CDC have power (i.e. can you eject the cartridge)? If so, then it may be a fiber optic ring problem. Does you car have the Harmon-Kardon system? If so, and you are getting audio, then it's not the fiber ring. If you don't have HK, then it could be the fiber ring. Maybe you should try resetting the COMAND unit - pull fuses 24, 26, 36 (all in the cabin, side of the dash) and 64 (front SAM, under the hood).

Thanks Rodney

I don't know if it has power. Its the compact kind of changer and the eject system is entirely manual as you just push the CD into the slot and the little indicator changes from white to red. There's no cartridge.

I ran a COMAND update last week with the new Disc 2012/13 but no change.

I'll try pulling the fuses out and see where I get to!

Cheers
Bren
