Squeaky top / rubber thingies?

We just picked up a 2006 CLK55...love it! But while test driving another one the guy said the reason it was tighter (that's what she said) was because there were a bunch of rubber things in the top that you can replace that keep the squeaks and groans down to a minimum.

Any idea what those are called? Where can I get 'em?

Thanks!

...and yes, I know that it's a roadster, and that it will never be fully "tight", just looking for an improvement.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The rubber "things" are the soft top seals, and while they may have been replaced, it's rarely necessary. My nearly 7 year old CLK cabriolet is almost perfectly free of groans and squeaks because I lubricate it with the proper stuff - MBZ part number A0009893660. It's about $40 for a very small vial, but a little goes a long way and it works.

Another thing I have found is that inflating the tires to the full "100mph" pressures make the car ride much rougher and produce more top noise. I inflate mine halfway between normal and 100mph and that seems to offer a good balance.

Yeah, no idea what this person is talking about who told you that. Every convertible has rubber seals. Every creak has to be traced to its source. For example, I had a dry creak sound above my passenger side sun visor. Logical to assume it was from the main rubber seal. Nope. The cloth headlinder ends in a big rubber strip under that big trim piece at the front attached to the top. Took off that peice and lubed that strip and now it's totally quiet.
