Hey guys, I have a 2005 w209 with aux in the glovebox and when I put my COMAND into aux mode and i plug in my ipod/smartphone and play music, i hear nothing, even when the volume is set on the highest; i just hear a static noise when it is all the way up; I ordered an FM transmitter to see if this would be a better alternative but I know that aux is better. Can someone please tell me how I can fix my aux input? thanks!

You don't have the factory iPod interface installed do you? If so, it overrides the AUX input and will only play through the iPod dock connector. If that's not the issue, then you may have a short in the wiring to the AUX input - you'll have to pull the radio out and trace the wiring.

It may also depend on your generation of iPod.
If you have the white Aux connector it may have to be replaced with the new black (compatible) connector.
More than likely, though, it has come loose.
