Any possibility that Mercedes Benz will help?
Just recently purchased my first Mercedes - a 2005, now has about 25,000 miles on it. It looks like I have lost a seal in the steering rack - dripping fluid etc. What are the chance that MB will pay for fixing this problem because of the very low miles - obviously the rack shouldn't fail at only 25,000 miles. Any comments or information that might help will be appreciated.

No warranty... No help.

It's very unlikely. About the only time they will "goodwill" repairs is when it's a common problem (such as the balance shaft issue) and then when it's not too far out of warranty. Even bei9ng low mileage, a MY2005 is now likely approaching 5 years out of warranty. If it were say one year or less out of warranty and that low mileage, they might help, but now, it's just something you have to deal with.

Yeah..warranty expired.
But isn't that great that the previous driver only had 25K miles on your 2005 CLK?
I just purchased my first Mercedes as well two days ago. Same scenario. 25,090 miles on a 2005 CLK500. I had it pre-inspected and Carfax-guaranteed plus Inspection history from Mercedes dealership.
