2003 clk coupe
blinking window switches

Thanks to everyone on this forum. I have learned so much about my wifes ( new to her) 2003 clk coupe. This is my first post. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out. Tonight I was driving and noticed that the window switches and seat memory control on the drivers door panel was flahing every second or two. As far as I could tell, everything was functioning properly. The instrument cluster showed no malfunction. I've search and searched for a cause/ solution, but can't find an answer. Any ideas?

NO LONGER ACTIVE
As far as I know, there is no valid reason for this. Those lights are activated by the door control unit via a CAN bus signal. So, maybe the control module is going bad, or maybe there is a loose connection on a wiring harness inside the door (between the control unit and the switches).

Thank you. I will check electrical connections. Hopefully that's all it is.

Checked connections, unplugged them sprayed contact cleaner, reconnected. Blinking lights persist. Now, window and side mirror have a mind of their own. I'm 99% sure that door control module is dying. My part # is 2098201326, but I can only find replacement part #'s 2098201926 and 2098202126 (ebay). Will these work? I checked EPC and only part listed is 2098202126. Internet search showed 2098201926 superseded 2098202126. I don't want to buy incompatible part. Thanks for the help.

Basically, MBZ part numbers use the 7th and 8th positions as the "revision", so any of those should work, but 2098202126 is the latest revised part number.
