I WON!!!

Thank you everyone for all your help threw out this and all the advice I received from everyone was extremely helpful.

This morning was my court date, I went there with my lawyer and the officer did not show up so I won the case.
It was an extremely stressful situation up until now, but atleast I received a very important lesson out of it.

All 10 people that were assigned to the court room I was in got there cases dismissed because of all there citing officers not showing up, really goes to show how easily you can win a case.

Woohoo! Congrats on the win! This is actually one of the best strategies for fighting a ticket - try to get several continuances so the officer gets "confused" as to the court date. But from what I hear, even without changing the date, they only show up about half the time. So, if you look at it statistically speaking, if you pay the ticket, you have a 100% chance of being found guilty. If you appear in court, you have a 50% chance, but since 50% of the time the officer won't show, that improves your odds to 25% guilty, 75% not guilty. I'll take that any day.

He would have had to lie and make up a false story or look like an idiot in front of the Judge. That is probably why he was a no-show. Ratemycop.com?

What? Of course cops don't lie. They are highly trained, respected professionals who observe, record, remember and only tell the whole truth. Their only concern is the safety of the public they serve. Only scumbag criminal defendants lie. And traffic court judges know that.
